New STAR WARS Fan YouTube Show Launching November 8 to Coincide with Disney+ Streaming Service
Updated: Nov 1, 2019
Internet personalities Pete Fletzer and David Amelotti are teaming up to host a new weekly, live, interactive fan YouTube show called Streaming Star Wars. The program will draw on the hosts’ expertise and experience to recap and offer expert analysis of Star Wars programming from the new Disney+ streaming service. Streaming Star Wars will debut on November 8 at 10pm EST, 9pm CST and will run every Friday to coincide with drop dates of new Disney+ Star Wars episodes.
Pete and David will take to YouTube live to critique, analyze and discuss the latest chapters of streaming entertainment based in the Star Wars galaxy while fielding questions and conversation from the audience joining them in the chat. The November 8 premiere episode of Streaming Star Wars is timed to preview the new Lucasfilm LTD and Disney+ show, “The Mandalorian,” starring Pedro Pascal, Werner Herzog, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers, premiering the following week.
The 60-minute Streaming Star Wars will be broadcast live and archived on YouTube via the Beyond the Blast Doors channel and become available for audio download the following day as part of Pete Fletzer’s weekly Star Wars fan interview podcast, Around the Galaxy, found on all major podcast services and on www.ATGcast.com.
“In a sea of Star Wars podcasts and YouTube shows, Streaming Star Wars will be different by being focused almost exclusively on the exciting new Star Wars content coming from the new Disney streaming service,” said Amelotti. “Star Wars fans thrive on being able to talk about their favorite franchise and this will be the perfect place for us to interact with other like-minded people.”
“There are four confirmed Star Wars series being released on Disney+ over the next two years and we, as fans, will want to have a community where we can talk about it,” Fletzer said. “Our show will open the door for interactive, real-time, fan-to-fan reaction, speculation and conversation, which are the touchstones of Star Wars fandom.”
