Updated: Sep 11

Ewan McGregor gave an interview recently with Ash Crossan over at Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday. The two discussed upcoming projects including of course, Kenobi. McGregor will re-enter the Star Wars galaxy, returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the unnamed Kenobi series for Disney+.

"Spring next year we start," he revealed of production plans. "I'm really excited about it. It's gonna be great, I think."

Recently, it was released that the Kenobi series would be only one season. That's confirmed by McGregor but as he eludes too, anything could change.

"As I understand, it's a standalone season," he said. "We'll see. Who knows?"

Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that the Kenobi series was only one season. Kathleen Kennedy recently spoke with The Wrap, saying,

"It’s been very exciting to see the talent that’s come in. And we’re now developing the limited Obi-Wan Kenobi series with Deborah Chow, and she’s just been doing a phenomenal job."
