"A New Hope" Kenobi/Vader lightsaber duel re-imagined and it's perfect

The crew over at the FXitinPost YouTube Channel uploaded "Star Wars SC 38 Reimagined," on Wednesday. It's as if millions of voices were suddenly silenced and then rattled the earth with joy!!!

According to the video description, ""Scene 38 ReImagined" is about the final confrontation between Ben Kenobi & Darth Vader in "A New Hope" nearly 20 years after the events of "Revenge Of The Sith." This is a one-off story driven scene reflecting the characters in its chronological order from the point of Revenge of the Sith through Rebels, Rogue One, and all canon material leading to A New Hope.'"

A shot of Ben Kenobi in "Star Wars SC 38 Re-imagined." This is not an original shot from the 1977 film but that face under the hood makes you do a double take and maybe a triple take.

Christopher Clements is listed as VFX Supervisor. Additional Director, Cast & Crew information has yet to be released. It's essential we get every name attached to this project so they can be celebrated for this exceptional work. Fans saw the first shots of this edit on Dec 22, 2017 when FXitinPost shared a :46 clip of a much more intense duel on the Death Star. The full re-imagined scene has more than 700,000 views in less than its first day online.

The viewer can appreciate the glow of Vader's eye lenses and shine of his helmet.

Fans will possibly lose their minds over several aspects of this video. First just how seamless the original footage is edited with new footage. There are plenty of lens flares for you to appreciate the shine of Vader's helmet and the side panels of the Death Star. The lightsabers look incredible crisp and one can appreciate how the sparking of the sabers are tame. It's something some fans nitpick about The Last Jedi but in the end doesn't have a vast impact on anything.

The choreography is wicked fast and new moves make the duel more compelling than the 1977 version. Ben has moves and both Kenobi and Vader show off some fun force moves. Like that one time Vader flies backwards and the camera follows - FREAKING AWESOME!

Ben Kenobi forced back up against the wall dodges an aggressive saber throw from Darth Vader.

Okay, I will stop writing about it. If you haven't watched it, you absolutely have to now! You can click the image above to be taken to watch the re-imagined duel or you can just click here.
